These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by iSpeak Education LTD (“iSpeak”, “we”, “us”), including iSpeak Live, iSpeak Elevate, and iSpeak Challenge. By booking or participating in any iSpeak service, parents/carers, schools, and clients agree to the terms set out below.

01. About iSpeak

iSpeak Education LTD is an educational services provider which supports children and young people to develop Confidence, Communication, and Connection through purposeful speaking opportunities. These are delivered through live public speaking and oracy programmes within schools, personalised mentoring beyond the classroom, and structured oracy assessments designed to recognise and celebrate progress.

 

Across all services, iSpeak is committed to providing supportive and inclusive experiences that help students express ideas clearly, connect meaningfully with others, and develop skills that positively impact learning, wellbeing, and future success.

 

All services are currently delivered by Peter Fowler, Director of iSpeak Education LTD.

 

02. Services Covered by These Terms

These Terms & Conditions apply to:

  • iSpeak Live: public speaking and oracy programmes delivered in schools

  • iSpeak Elevate: out-of-school mentoring programmes (1:1 and small group)

  • iSpeak Challenge:  structured oracy assessment delivered within schools

Each service has distinct delivery arrangements, which are outlined below.

​

03. Safeguarding & Child Protection

iSpeak Education LTD is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

​

  • All sessions are delivered by a DBS-checked practitioner registered on the DBS Update Service.

  • iSpeak operates in line with DfE safeguarding guidance and local authority procedures.

  • A full Safeguarding & Child Protection Policy is available on the website.

  • For school-based provision, safeguarding concerns are reported immediately to the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).

  • For out-of-school provision, concerns are escalated in line with local safeguarding procedures and may involve:

    • Children’s Social Care

    • Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO)

    • Police (in emergencies)

    • NSPCC Helpline (0808 800 5000)

04. Photography, Video & Audio Recording

  • iSpeak will not photograph, film, or record any child without explicit written parental consent obtained in advance.

  • Consent will always specify the purpose of any recording (e.g. assessment, reflection, marketing).

  • Recordings are stored securely and used only for the agreed purpose.

  • No images or recordings are shared publicly without written consent.

05. Data Protection

  • Personal data is collected only for administration, safeguarding, assessment, and communication purposes.

  • Data is stored securely and handled in accordance with UK GDPR.

  • Parents/carers may request access to or deletion of personal data at any time.

  • A full Privacy Policy is available on the website.

06. iSpeak Elevate – Mentoring Programmes

6.1 Delivery

​

  • Delivered outside of school hours.

  • Sessions take place:

    • in the student’s home (1:1 only, with an adult present in the home), or

    • in a hired local venue for small group sessions, or

    • online (by prior agreement).

  • iSpeak Elevate is delivered in 6-week blocks.

6.2 Booking & Payment

​

  • 1:1 sessions:

    • Payment is required in advance to secure a place.

  • Group sessions:

    • Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

    • Parents are notified when a suitable group is formed.

    • A place is confirmed only once payment for the full block has been received.

​​

6.3 Cancellations & Refunds – Elevate

​

1:1 Mentoring

  • Full refund: more than 7 days before the block start date

  • 50% refund: 3–7 days before the block start date

  • No refund: within 48 hours of the block start date

​​

Group Mentoring

  • Once a place is confirmed and paid for, fees are non-refundable due to venue hire and group commitments.

​​

Mid-block cancellations

  • Missed sessions or cancellations once a block has started are not refundable.

  • Known absences should be factored in before booking.

​​

07. iSpeak Live – School Programmes

7.1 Booking & Payment

​

  • Schools book iSpeak Live directly with iSpeak Education LTD.

  • An invoice is issued once the programme outline has been agreed.

  • Payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed.

7.2 Delivery

​

  • iSpeak Live is delivered:

    • in person, or

    • remotely (with a school staff member present), depending on agreement.

  • Preparation, planning, and coordination time are included in the agreed fee.

 

7.3 Cancellations – iSpeak Live

  • If iSpeak must cancel due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, an alternative date will be offered or a full refund issued for the affected session(s).

  • If a school cancels after booking, fees remain payable unless otherwise agreed in writing.

 

08. iSpeak Challenge – Oracy Assessment

8.1 Booking & Payment

​

  • Parents/carers book and pay directly to iSpeak Education LTD via a school-shared sign-up link.

  • Schools do not collect payments.

  • A place is confirmed only once payment has been received.

  • Fees are non-refundable once booked.

​​

8.2 Minimum Numbers

​

  • A minimum of 10 students per school is required.

  • If the minimum is not met, iSpeak may:

    • reschedule,

    • offer an alternative date or format, or

    • cancel without liability.

​​

8.3 Illness on the Day

​

  • iSpeak will endeavour to offer an alternative assessment slot, either in person or online.

  • This cannot be guaranteed and depends on scheduling and location.

​​

8.4 Delivery

​

  • iSpeak Challenge is delivered in person, on school premises.

  • A member of school staff must be present on site at all times.

  • Online delivery may be introduced in future by agreement.

​​

09. School Responsibilities (Live & Challenge)

Schools agree to:

​

  • Provide a suitable room for delivery

  • Ensure appropriate supervision is in place

  • Manage student timetabling and movement

​​

10. Liability & Insurance

  • iSpeak Education LTD holds appropriate Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance.

  • iSpeak is not responsible for incidents arising from failure to follow safeguarding or supervision requirements.

11. Intellectual Property

All materials, frameworks, assessments, and programme content remain the intellectual property of iSpeak Education LTD and may not be copied, shared, or reproduced without written permission.

 

12. Amendments

iSpeak Education LTD reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions. Any changes will be published on the website.
